Some thought that the Chinese were the ones who invented toothpaste too. It is actually the Egyptians. It was first invented as far as 5,000 years ago. It was a combination of pumice and wine. I am not sure if you’ll be happy with this revelation, but in the Eighteenth century, the main ingredient in toothpaste in America and Europe is Urine. Why? Because of its active ingredient called Ammonia that is proven to be an effective cleaner. Ammonia, up to this very day, is still an active ingredient in toothpaste. I am assuming that they don’t urinate in the mixture.
I agree with you that First toothbrush was invented in Egypt in 4th century AD. which was using with a mixture of powdered salt, pepper, mint leaves, and iris flowers. The Romans used toothpaste which is formulated by human urine.
I think use of brush in this present era is of more importance than its inventions because now when it is easily available people are not guiding their children to use that and how to use that and that’s why children are having problems regarding teeth.
