Some thought that the Chinese were the ones who invented toothpaste too. It is actually the Egyptians. It was first invented as far as 5,000 years ago. It was a combination of pumice and wine. I am not sure if you’ll be happy with this revelation, but in the Eighteenth century, the main ingredient in toothpaste in America and Europe is Urine. Why? Because of its active ingredient called Ammonia that is proven to be an effective cleaner. Ammonia, up to this very day, is still an active ingredient in toothpaste. I am assuming that they don’t urinate in the mixture.
